Milky Way galaxy over Coffin Pond - White Mountains, New Hampshire

On a clear summer night, I decided to turn this dream into reality and took the trip to the White Mountains where I knew this gem of a scene awaited.  The perfect evening did not disappoint; the still air left the pond as mirror-like as ever, and the cloud-less sky provided an endless view of the stars.  It was not long before the galaxy had risen to match my vision, and I was fortunate to have the vantage point to myself as I carefully captured the scene.
