In the midst of an autumn rain storm, I found a brief pause in the rain and captured this scene of windblown old maple trees standing solemnly among a new growth forest. This land was logged years ago and the new sapling trees have become a haven for whitetail deer, turkeys, and even the occasional moose. If you look closely at the photo, you can find a flock of turkeys that have grouped together for the winter.
