The Massachusetts coast is home to some incredibly clean and colorful water. Some beaches have a deep blue color, while others like this one are more aqua-green. When the temperatures are warmer, it almost feels like the tropics! After many attempts at photographing this particular location, I finally had some quality color to work with. This decaying piling stood lonesome, away from the rest of its former structure. Every time I visit, another piece of rotting wood has disappeared. The waves were rough, so I waited patiently for the right one to crash against the wood, and I snapped a long enough exposure to capture the movement of the tide.
